E-Delivery Documents Speed Up Invoice Approval for DHL UK
02.07.08: DHL, the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry, has added an electronic delivery document facility to their existing UK e-billing service to speed up the invoice approval process. It enables DHL staff and customers to view the key paper shipping documents in electronic format, after they have been invoiced. To view the shipping documents, users simply login to the DHL e-billing Portal, find the corresponding e-invoice, and click on a link in that e-invoice to open the shipping documents. Users can then check the original shipment documents for delivery details such as sender, receiver, contents and other key items of information. This visibility will help reduce the number of customer queries relating to deliveries and help speed up the approval and payment process. Like all DHL e-invoices, the e-delivery documents are stored and archived online and can be accessed in real-time, 24/7 via the DHL e-billing portal from any location.

2008 – “The Year of the e-invoice”
24.01.08: We at Accountis have long been predicting that “2008 will be the year of the e-invoice” and it seems that Bruno Koch of Billentis is of the same opinion! In his latest edition of E-Invoicing Quarterly, Bruno reports that processed B2B volumes are expected to reach 610 million E-invoices in 2008, representing 4.1% of all European B2B invoices. This reflects the ever-growing number of companies signing up to the benefits of E-Invoicing – in 2006, this figure was just 240 million. Bruno also predicts that the strongest growth rates in the E-Invoicing market place will be seen in Sweden, Spain, Belgium, France, Poland and Portugal.
